1. About these terms
Welcome to strangebutcool.com (the "Site"), the online home of The House of StrangebutCool. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Site, including the StrangebutCool Atelier online store and the Conscious Change Studio pages. By using the Site, placing an order, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Who we are
The Site is operated by PT Strange But Cool Atelier, a company incorporated in Indonesia with registration number [NIB / company no.], registered and operating address Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai No. 472, Sanur, Bali 80228, Indonesia ("we," "us," "our," "the House").
 
The House of StrangebutCool was founded in Singapore in 1999 and today comprises several brands: StrangebutCool Atelier, The Private Collection of Vintage Bags, Conscious Change Studio Edition, and The Inner House. Some of these are operated by separate companies and on separate websites, with their own terms.

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to make a purchase or create an account. By using the Site you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

4. The Site and its content
The Site is provided for general information, to present our brands, and to enable purchases from StrangebutCool Atelier. We may update, change, or remove content, products, and features at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that the Site will always be available or error-free.

5. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, photographs, graphics, the "strange but cool" name and logos, brand marks, batik and other design motifs, product designs, and page layouts — is owned by or licensed to the House and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share content for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

6. Accounts
To shop with StrangebutCool Atelier you may create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

7. Products, orders, and pricing
We take care to describe and picture our products accurately, but colours, textures, and details may vary slightly on your screen and between pieces — this is especially true of vintage items and of Conscious Change pieces, which are made from reclaimed materials and are each one of a kind. Such variation is a feature of these pieces, not a defect.

Prices are listed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) and are inclusive of taxes. Prices and availability may change without notice. All orders are an offer to purchase and are subject to our acceptance.

8. Payment
Payment is processed securely through Xendit. By submitting an order you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method chosen. We do not store your full card details; these are handled by Xendit. We accept international credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express. Any currency conversion rate or fee applied by your card issuer is a matter between you and your bank.

9. Shipping and delivery
We ship to destinations across the Asia Pacific region, listed in full on our Shipping Policy page.

10. Returns, exchanges, and cancellations
We want you to be satisfied with what you receive, and we take that seriously from the first idea through to the final packing. If something isn't right, we would like to make it right.
 
To request a return, email chat@strangebutcool.com within 10 days of delivery. Pieces must be unworn, unwashed, in their original condition and packaging, with any tags attached. Please repack a return in the same manner you received it.
 
Because Conscious Change pieces are made from reclaimed materials and are one of one, they are returnable only if faulty.
Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

11. The Private Collection of Vintage Bags
Visits to The Private Collection in Penang, and any tickets, are arranged through The Private Collection's own channels (including WhatsApp) and website, and may be subject to separate terms. Selected vintage pieces are available for purchase offline only.

12. Events and workshops
We host events, workshops, and pop-ups across our brands. Bookings, tickets, fees, capacity, and cancellation terms are described with each event. We may reschedule or cancel an event; where we cancel, we will offer a refund or transfer where applicable.

13. Newsletter and communications
If you subscribe to our newsletter or submit an enquiry, you consent to us contacting you as described in our Privacy Policy. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us.

14. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site unlawfully; to interfere with its operation or security; to attempt unauthorised access; to scrape or harvest data; to upload harmful code; or to infringe the rights of others. We may restrict or withdraw access for any breach.

15. Third-party links and other House sites
The Site links to our other brand websites (including theprivatecollectionbysbc.com) and to third-party sites. Those sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of external sites.

16. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the Site, its content, or its availability, other than those that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Our total liability in connection with any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase.

18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify the House against claims, losses, and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

19. Privacy
Our use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy page, which forms part of these Terms.

20. Governing law
These Terms, and your use of the Site, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. The Indonesian courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
 
Visits, tickets and events at The Private Collection of Vintage Bags in Penang may be subject to separate terms, governed by the laws of Malaysia.
 
Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.

21. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted here with its effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
