The Story of Sabrina
The Sabrina started as an idea - ‘something’ to link our Atelier business to the bigger picture of waste less, repurposing and the environment. The idea turned into a message we had to share with the hope that it will grow a social consciousness - of changing habits in the way we accept single-use plastics readily and discard them without much thought.
Sabrina in her approach, aimed for an ease of use and simplicity. The art of Japanese Origami formed her design principle and to sew her, we choose the traditional fabric of Indonesia - Batik, in its hand drawn and hand stamped versions. Bold in colour and design, drawn on 100% natural fabric or ‘kian’ as we say in Bahasa Indonesia.
